Wobble Stool

Used a material constraint as the starting point: make a structure strong enough to hold a person from one short piece of wood. Shaped the base to move slightly with the sitter instead of treating the block as a static seat.

Rounded the lower edges to create a controlled rocking motion, while reinforcing splines help protect the body from splitting. Tested several radii to find a balance that felt active, comfortable, and secure.

A stool carved from a single short length of wood, designed to support seated movement without feeling unstable.

Keeps the final form visually simple while letting the bottom edge do most of the work.

Creates an object that feels stable at rest, then becomes more responsive once someone sits down.
